Himpel, a company specializing in ventilation appliances, said on the 5th that it has officially launched a subscription service for the Huzen-tteu bathroom exhaust fan and the Huven system ventilation air purifier.
In the recent home appliance market, a consumer trend that values management and user experience over simple ownership is spreading. In particular, as ease of maintenance after installation has become a key selection criterion, interest in managing indoor air at home is also rising.
Reflecting this shift in consumer behavior, Himpel introduced a subscription-based service that goes beyond product sales to include maintenance, called the Breathing Home Care Service. The service provides professional filter management and free after-sales service for Huzen-tteu and the ventilation air purifier, and the company plans to expand it across the entire ventilation appliance lineup, including kitchen and everyday air appliances.
The Breathing Home Care Service is a maintenance-centered program that checks product condition through regular visits after installation and replaces needed parts. It operates by including in the subscription fee free replacement of the total heat exchanger element and genuine filters, free on-site after-sales service during the subscription period, and installation and replacement expense.
In particular, due to the piping and duct-based installation characteristics of ventilation appliances, they are often used for long periods once installed, but performance can easily deteriorate if filters are neglected or internal contamination is poorly managed. Himpel focused on closing these maintenance blind spots and realizing a "breathing home" where air is naturally managed in everyday life.
The subscription period can be selected from 1 to 5 years for the Huzen-tteu line and from 2 to 6 years for the ventilation air purifier. With an affiliated credit card discount, the Huzen-tteu 3 full option is available for 5-year subscriptions at 5,900 won per month, and the Huven EBN (HRD-150IBN) has a monthly subscription fee of about 15,900 won for a 6-year subscription.
A Himpel official said, "Ventilation is invisible, but it is a key factor that determines quality of life," adding, "Now that even air is managed, we will expand our services from product supply to a structure that also takes responsibility for maintenance."
