The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises said on the 26th that it held the "64th regular general meeting" at KBIZ in Yeouido, Seoul.
At the general meeting, they presented a report on major policy achievements for 2025 and gave awards to outstanding small and medium enterprise cooperatives and meritorious individuals.
The outstanding small and medium enterprise cooperatives were ▲ Korea Printing Cooperatives Federation ▲ Gyeonggi-do Concrete Industry Cooperative ▲ Jeonnam Southern Ready-mixed Concrete Business Cooperative ▲ Busan Gyeongnam Noodle Food Industry Cooperative ▲ Jeonbuk Craft Cooperative ▲ Pocheon Furniture Industry Cooperative.
The meritorious individuals were ▲ Jeong Hee-seong, Deputy Minister of the Korea Super Chain Distribution Business Cooperative ▲ Seong Dong-il, full-time director of the Seoul Gyeonggi Tofu and Jelly Manufacturing Cooperative ▲ Son Mun-hwa, full-time director of the Daegu Gyeongbuk Plastic Industry Cooperative.
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises submitted and approved five agenda items: ▲ 2025 business report, settlement of account and surplus appropriation plan ▲ 2026 business plan and revenue-expenditure budget plan ▲ articles of association amendment plan ▲ board of directors delegation plan ▲ executive election plan.
Kim Ki-mun, chair of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises, said, "The Republic of Korea is enhancing its national standing, breaking through KOSPI 6000 and surpassing $700 billion in exports to rank fifth in the world, but these achievements are concentrated among some large companies, and small and medium enterprises are still facing difficulties," adding, "In 2026, we will focus on win-win cooperation in finance and distribution, strengthening the role of cooperatives in supporting small and medium enterprises, expanding the global market entry of small and medium enterprises, and region-led growth, so let us open a golden era for small and medium enterprises together with a spirit of 'unceasing self-strengthening (自强不息).'"
