Doosan Yeonkang Foundation said on the 24th that it will provide scholarships totaling 3 billion won this year.
On the 23rd, the foundation held its first scholarship certificate award ceremony of the year at Yangjae EL Tower in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and delivered 1.4 billion won in scholarships to 175 college students. The foundation said the students selected this time are those who have shown excellent academic performance and exemplary school life.
The foundation will carry out various scholarship programs this year, including the "Doosan Dream Tree Scholarship" and the "Multicultural Family Scholarship." It plans to select scholarship recipients from elementary, middle and high schools and universities and provide a total of about 3 billion won in scholarships annually.
Since its establishment in 1978, Doosan Yeonkang Foundation has provided scholarships to 20,530 students in elementary, middle and high schools and universities who achieved excellent academic performance despite difficult circumstances.
