Doosan Enerbility said on the 11th that it posted sales of 17.0578 trillion won and operating profit of 762.7 billion won on a consolidation basis last year. Sales rose 5.1% from a year earlier, but operating profit fell 25%. Net profit for the same period dropped 48% to 205.2 billion won.
Doosan Enerbility said the decline in operating profit was due to subsidiaries such as Bobcat and FuelCell.
However, it set a record for orders last year, raising expectations for improved results this year. It recorded 14.7 trillion won in orders—more than double from a year earlier—on the back of the Czech nuclear power plant, North American gas turbines, and combined-cycle EPC projects. The Enerbility institutional sector (including overseas subsidiaries) order backlog stands at 23 trillion won, about three times last year's Enerbility sales.
Doosan Enerbility projected that, on an Enerbility institutional sector basis, Doosan Enerbility's order intake will rise from 13.3 trillion won this year to 16.4 trillion won in 2030. It also forecast sales to increase from 7.4 trillion won to 11.7 trillion won over the same period.
Doosan Enerbility's standalone sales last year were 7.8813 trillion won, with operating profit of 302.3 billion won. They increased 7% and 24.1%, respectively, from a year earlier. The results were driven by expanded progress in combined-cycle power projects and higher sales in core businesses such as nuclear and gas.
