Koo Ja-yeol (photo), chair of the LS board, has been named the next chair of the Korea-Japan Economic Association, the country's largest Korea-Japan business exchange organization.
According to the business community on the 11th, the Korea-Japan Economic Association plans to hold a board meeting and annual general meeting on the 25th of this month to approve an agenda appointing Chair Koo as the 16th chair. The current chair is Kim Yoon, chair of Samyang Holdings, who has served since 2014.
Founded in 1981, the Korea-Japan Economic Association, together with Japan's Japan-Korea Economic Association, organizes the Korea-Japan Business Conference, which is held alternately in Korea and Japan every year. This year, the 58th conference is scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan, in May.
