The Ministry of SMEs and Startups said on the 9th it is recruiting corporations to join the general and advanced tracks of the "2026 carbon-neutral facility investment support program for small and medium-sized enterprises."
The "carbon-neutral facility investment support for small and medium-sized enterprises" program supports corporations in switching to facilities that improve energy efficiency or reduce carbon emissions so they can cut greenhouse gas emissions and respond to global carbon regulations.
Recruitment targets are divided into general and advanced tracks. Both provide up to 300 million won per corporation. The subsidy rates for the general and advanced tracks are up to 50% and 70%, respectively. The recruitment period runs from the 10th to Mar. 4.
Corporations operating in sectors with high carbon emissions, such as primary metal manufacturing and fabricated metal product manufacturing, and corporations not located in industrial complexes will receive extra points and be given preference in selection.
This year, a new preference benefit was introduced for small and medium-sized corporations not located in industrial complexes. By linking with related agencies' programs and supporting cost accounting expense, the burden of facility investment expenses for small and medium venture corporations will be eased.
Eligible facilities are divided into four categories by type: energy-saving facilities such as inverter-type air compressors that can reduce electricity use; process-optimization facilities that automatically control production processes using artificial intelligence; emission diagnosis and monitoring facilities that can check exhaust gases in real time; and new and renewable energy facilities that convert waste into energy.
