Shinil Electronics recorded an operating profit of 5.2 billion won last year. That was up 29.9% from a year earlier.
Shinil Electronics disclosed on the 9th that preliminary figures for last year came to 194.4 billion won in sales and 5.2 billion won in operating profit. Sales rose 9% from a year earlier.
Shinil Electronics is a company that sells summer appliances such as electric fans and air coolers, and winter appliances including heaters, radiators, and electric mats.
A Shinil Electronics official said, "Sales of seasonal appliances increased due to summer and winter temperature effects," and noted, "A smaller exchange-rate loss than a year earlier and higher gains from forward exchange transactions also contributed to improved profitability."
With the won's value of revenue generated overseas expanding due to a stronger exchange rate, the financial balance appears to have improved.
