Maserati's flagship model, the GranTurismo, from the Italian luxury car brand, was named the "2026 luxury car of the year" at major automotive awards at home and abroad.
On the 9th, according to Maserati Korea, the GranTurismo was selected in the "luxury car of the year" category at the "2026 Korea car of the year" organized by the Association of Korea Automotive Writers (AWAK). The judging panel was said to have highly evaluated the harmony of technology that achieves the GranTurismo's artistic value and dynamic performance.
The GranTurismo also won in the "luxury sports car" category at the "2026 Editors' Choice Awards" by the influential U.S. automotive outlet Car and Driver. The award is considered a "hall of fame" in the auto industry. A panel of specialist journalists evaluates vehicles through rigorous instrumented tests and real-world driving, considering multiple factors such as performance, value, and driving enjoyment.
The GranTurismo is a representative GT model that condenses Maserati's craftsmanship spanning more than 110 years, racing heritage, and Italian design philosophy. GT refers to a model that combines sports car performance with the comfort of a sedan sufficient for long-distance travel. A Maserati official said, "The GranTurismo, based on powerful performance derived from racing DNA, combines a comfortable driving feel befitting a four-seat grand tourer, a timeless design, and innovative technology."
The top-tier Trofeo trim delivers a maximum output of 550 horsepower and a top speed of 320 km/h, accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
