Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) said on the 9th that it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Association of Artificial Intelligence Industry for "training cooperation to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities of small and medium venture companies."
Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) and the association signed the memorandum of understanding on the 6th to build a practical AI talent development system that small and medium venture companies can use immediately in the field.
The main points are: ▲ joint planning and operation of a training program to strengthen AI utilization capabilities ▲ cooperation on developing specialized training content in AI and industrial intelligence and mutual exchange of human resources. Through this, the plan is to raise the capability to apply AI technology in small and medium venture workplaces and to seek to strengthen the competitiveness of regional industries.
With the memorandum of understanding as a starting point, they plan to develop and run regular training courses. They will also jointly pursue various cooperative projects, including activating AI industry networks and holding seminars and forums.
KOSME's Gangwon Training Center and Gangwon Regional Headquarters will be responsible for the infrastructure needed for the training, training planning and operation, and support for linking policy programs. The association will provide specialized training content and instructors in AI and industrial intelligence, and the two sides plan to build a cooperative framework that leverages each institution's strengths.
This cooperation is a model that combines KOSME's training policies with the practical strategies of an industry expert institution, and it is expected to be expanded and applied to nationwide training courses going forward.
Choi Eun-gyeong, head of KOSME's Gangwon Training Center, said, "This agreement will serve as an opportunity to concretize a training model for nurturing AI talent for small and medium venture companies, going beyond simple educational cooperation," adding, "Small and medium venture companies will be able to secure the capability to use AI technology in the field even amid a changing digital environment."
