The Korea Automobile Journalists Association said on the 6th that it selected the Renault Korea Filante as the car of February.
The Korea Automobile Journalists Association's car of the year selection committee reviews new cars and facelift models released from the 1st to the end of every month and releases the car of the month. The evaluation items consist of five categories: ▲ interior and exterior design and perceived quality ▲ safety and convenience features ▲ power performance ▲ energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions ▲ product value and purchase intention.
The Renault Korea Filante scored 36 out of 50. It received 7.7 out of 10 in the interior and exterior design and perceived quality, and safety and convenience categories. It earned 7.3 in energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions. It recorded 6.7 in power performance and in product value and purchase intention.
Jeong Chi-yeon, chair of the car of the year selection committee, said, "The Renault Korea Filante combines the comfort of a sedan with the space versatility of a sport utility vehicle (SUV)," and noted, "Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and artificial intelligence (AI)-based infotainment significantly raise safety and convenience in real driving conditions."
The Korea Automobile Journalists Association has been selecting and releasing the car of the month since 2019. On the 1st, the BMW New M5 Touring was selected as the car of the month.
