SNT Dynamics and SNT Motiv, the defense affiliates of SNT Group, said on Feb. 5 they will jointly participate in the World Defense Show 2026, an international defense exhibition to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from the 8th to the 12th (local time).
SNT Dynamics and SNT Motiv plan to use the exhibition to actively target core demand in the Middle East defense market, including defense technology cooperation, local production, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and integrated product support (IPS).
In particular, they plan to expand their local business in the Middle East in line with the Saudi General Authority for Military Industries' policy of "50% localization of military equipment service expenditure."
To that end, they will actively use SNT GULF, an overseas local subsidiary established in 2012 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia and currently in operation, as a forward base dedicated to production and maintenance in the Middle East and Africa.
SNT Dynamics exhibited a domestically developed power pack for the K2 tank; a 120 mm mortar system mounted on a multipurpose tactical vehicle (MPV); and the 12.7 mm K6 heavy machine gun.
SNT Motiv showcased a low-risk handgun and low-risk rounds, for which it signed a supply contract with the Korean National Police Agency at the end of last year. The low-risk handgun is a 9 mm revolver that replaces the existing .38-caliber revolver and can use low-risk rounds, standard rounds, and blanks. It also exhibited the K4 40 mm high-velocity automatic grenade launcher and the STSM21 9 mm submachine gun.
An SNT official said, "As military modernization programs in Middle Eastern countries gain momentum, the size and importance of the Middle East defense market are growing further," and added, "We will go beyond product exports to build a technology cooperation-based export structure and actively expand strategic technology marketing activities that target the core demand of the Middle East defense market."
