BYD Korea is sponsoring the Sealion 7 as the grand prize on MBN variety show 'Cheonha Jebbang: Bake Your Dream'.
'Cheonha Jebbang: Bake Your Dream (Bake Your Dream)' is the country's first 'K-bakery survival' program, which premiered on the 1st. It highlights the 'K-bread' craze that has recently taken root as a domestic food culture trend and uses a survival format to determine the world's greatest baker.
Actress Lee Da-hee serves as the MC, and the judges include Noh Hee-young, head of the Food and Beverage Research Institute; Mimi of girl group Oh My Girl; chef Kwon Seong-jun, winner of 'Culinary Class Wars 1'; Korea's youngest master of pastry and baking Lee Seok-won; and Kim Na-rae, head patissier at Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome.
It airs every Sunday at 9:40 p.m. and runs for 10 episodes.
BYD Korea decided to participate as a brand partner because it judged that the craftsmanship, relentless challenge, and the competitive process proven by results contained in 'Cheonha Jebbang' align with BYD's pursued technological philosophy. Through this partnership, it plans to introduce the brand and products to domestic consumers in a more familiar way based on synergy between the program's storytelling and the brand's philosophy.
In particular, the program winner selected as the ultimate baker after fierce competition will be awarded BYD's premium mid-size electric SUV, the BYD Sealion 7 (BYD SEALION 7), as the prize.
The Sealion 7 offers a balance of driving performance, safety, and space utilization, and has drawn steady interest since its domestic launch in September last year.
Through this collaboration, BYD Korea plans to present electric vehicles not merely as transportation but as lifestyle partners that can be experienced naturally in daily life and culture. The strategy is to increase understanding of electric vehicles and spread positive perceptions of the brand by naturally conveying the brand story and technological capabilities through broadcast content.
Since officially launching its passenger vehicle brand in the domestic market on Jan. 16 last year, BYD Korea has sequentially introduced the Atto 3, Seal, and Sealion 7.
