Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) will take part in the 2026 Singapore Airshow, Asia's largest aerospace and defense exhibition, to showcase the excellence of domestically produced aircraft and strengthen its dominance in the Southeast Asian market.
KAI said it will participate in the airshow held at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore from the 3rd to the 8th, unveiling its flagship fixed-wing and rotary-wing models and a cutting-edge next-generation air combat system concept. The Singapore Airshow is considered one of the world's three major airshows along with those in Paris, France, and Farnborough, England.
At this exhibition, KAI plans to focus its marketing capabilities by putting forward the KF-21 fighter, which has entered full-scale mass production, the FA-50 fighter, a bestselling light attack aircraft, the Surion helicopter (KUH), which has entered its first export market, and the light armed helicopter LAH, which is being mass-produced and delivered to the Army.
During the airshow, KAI will meet not only with existing operators in Southeast Asia but also with senior government officials and top military leadership from potential export countries. While discussing additional projects with existing FA-50 customers, it will also seek to secure initial customers for the KF-21.
It will also seek to identify commercialization opportunities to secure export momentum in Asia for utility and transport helicopters.
Cho U-rae, head of export marketing at KAI, said, "The Singapore Airshow is an important bridgehead that is driving the explosive growth of K-defense," adding, "We will elevate the stature of K-defense and continue delivering tangible export results based on the globally proven reliability of the FA-50 and the advanced technology of the KF-21."
