Hyundai Motor and other domestic automakers announced on Feb. 2 discounts for February on electric vehicles and popular models.
Hyundai Motor is offering discounts of up to 5.9 million won on its electric lineup. The Ioniq 9, Ioniq 6 N and Ioniq 5 N each come with discounts of up to 5.9 million won. The Kona Electric offers up to 5.25 million won off, and the Ioniq 5 offers up to 4.7 million won off. The popular Grandeur (gasoline and hybrid) also comes with discounts of up to 4.9 million won.
Kia is also focusing its discounts on electric vehicles. For the EV3 (Air Standard), Kia offers purchase benefits of up to 4.7 million won. Adding central government and local government subsidies and other support for a maximum estimated 10.6 million won brings the actual purchase price down to 24.65 million won (based on Chungju City). The EV4 (Air Standard, 24.18 million won), EV5 (Long Range Air, 30.41 million won) and EV6 (Light Standard, 27.08 million won) can also be purchased in the 20 million–30 million won range. In addition, the K5 (up to 3 million won) and the K8 and K9 (up to 4 million won) are also discounted.
Chevrolet under GM Korea is running a special promotion this month, strengthening financing and discounts across all models. For the Trax Crossover, interest rates are 3.5% for 36 months and 4.0% for 60 months, plus a 300,000 won cash discount. Buyers of 2025 model-year vehicles can receive up to an additional 400,000 won in fuel support. Purchasing a Trailblazer comes with a 300,000 won cash discount and either a 36-month 4.0% or 60-month 4.5% installment plan. Buyers of 2025 model-year vehicles receive up to an additional 600,000 won in fuel benefits.
KG Mobility (KGM) is operating the Slim Pay Plan, a residual value guaranteed financing program. It recognizes future used-car values up front to reduce monthly installment burdens. It was initially applied only to select models such as the Actyon and Torres Hybrid, but has now been expanded to include the Musso (Standard and Long Deck), Torres EVX, and Rexton New Arena (5- and 7-seater).
Renault Korea offers a 1 million won benefit to customers who purchase the Grand Koleos gasoline 2.0 turbo model. Depending on the vehicle's production month, an additional 700,000–2 million won is offered, and loyalty customers (those who have repurchased at least once or currently own a Renault vehicle) receive a special 500,000 won benefit. The "Bonjour 2026" event is also underway. Customers who purchase or apply for a test drive of the Grand Koleos in February will receive prizes such as travel vouchers.
