The Doosan Yonkang Foundation said on the 27th it will hold a "science teachers' academic tour," which explores science-related industrial sites and education sites at home and abroad for elementary, middle and high school science teachers, from the 26th to Feb. 2.
A total of 29 people will take part in the tour, including 27 winners of the 2024 "Science Teacher of the Year Award," hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science & Creativity (KOSAC) and others, and two winners from 2023. Over seven nights and eight days, participants will visit science museums, corporations, and high schools located in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo in Japan, as well as industrial sites in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, to examine the front lines of science and technology and education.
The Doosan Yonkang Foundation has conducted academic tours for teachers who won the "Science Teacher of the Year Award" since 2007. To date, a total of 666 teachers have participated across 19 tours.
