HS Ad said on the 27th that it unveiled a new advertising campaign for global payment brand UnionPay, titled "Have a Nice Pay (HAVE A NICE PAY)."
UnionPay is a payment brand available in 183 countries and regions worldwide, including China. The campaign focuses on rising demand for travel to China following the implementation of China's visa-free policy. Since late Nov. 2024, China has implemented a 30-day visa-free entry policy for South Koreans.
The newly released UnionPay ad features a catchy jingle that sticks in your head after one listen. The ad's song plays across various payment moments during trips to China, clearly conveying the payment convenience and benefits UnionPay provides.
UnionPay offers a 3% fee waiver when paying by registering a UnionPay card with Alipay and other services. Customers can get instant discounts when paying with UnionPay at merchants popular among South Koreans. Some shopping merchants offer up to 40% off. In addition, an 11% instant discount applies when paying with a Woori Card under the UnionPay brand.
Before unveiling the new campaign, HS Ad also released a video produced with artificial intelligence (AI). Major symbols around the world appear—Australia's kangaroo, Singapore's Merlion, and France's statue The Thinker—staged to sing the ad's jingle.
An HS Ad official who oversaw the planning and production of the ad said, "We aimed to convey the message that simply using UnionPay changes the payment experience when traveling in China."
