Woongjin Preed Life, the funeral service affiliate of the Woongjin group, said on the 26th that it held a unified kickoff ceremony attended by the entire organization for the first time since its founding at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul and declared a leap forward as a "total life care platform."
About 400 people attended the ceremony, including the sales family, ceremonial directors, the head of Shillaknwon, and executives and employees.
On the day, a special lecture by Chairman Yoon Seok-geum of the Woongjin group and a New Year's message by Moon Ho-sang, CEO of Woongjin Preed Life, were held in sequence.
Chairman Yoon referred to his experience growing from an encyclopedia salesman to the head of a top-30 group and said, "If you change yourself positively, you gain confidence, and that ultimately leads to success." He then emphasized, "You must have a positive mind, burning passion, and unwavering confidence." Yoon also shared his recent visit to CES 2025, noting, "Because of AI, an era of unprecedented speed, change, and competition has arrived in the silver and life care sectors," and urged constant innovation, saying, "Only those who ride the wave of change win the world."
CEO Moon Ho-sang presented the company's vision under the theme of "DreamWorks," meaning a factory of dreams. Moon said, "Woongjin Preed Life is a factory that creates the dreams of members, the company's dream, and Woongjin's dream," adding, "It is time to leap from a good company to a great company." He went on to say he aims "to make it the overwhelmingly No. 1 life care corporations with a super-gap within three years."
Woongjin Preed Life has recently begun to accelerate its total life care platform strategy, including entering the premium wedding hall business. Moving beyond a focus on traditional funeral services, it is speeding up its transition into a comprehensive life care corporations that connects the entire customer life cycle, including weddings and senior care.
