Mercedes-Benz social contribution committee has begun recruiting participants for the charity running event to promote a culture of giving, the 13th Give & 'N Race (GIVE 'N RACE), to be held in Busan on Apr. 5.
Early-bird registration for special donors will be conducted for the first 100 people on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on Jan. 26. General registration will begin at 10 a.m. on Feb. 2, recruiting a total of 20,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
The "special donation," introduced for the first time this year at Give & Rayse, was prepared to expand the meaning of sharing through additional donations and consists of a gold package (1 million won, 30 people) and a silver package (500,000 won, 70 people). It will be limited to 100 people, and special donors will be provided with a companion ticket for one person, the opportunity to start in the lead group, an exclusive bib number, and special souvenirs composed of running shoes and sports goods depending on the application package.
The Give & Rayse base participation fee of 50,000 won and all additional donations will be donated to install new child protection agencies for children who need social care and to scholarship programs for promising sports players. Previously, the 11th and 12th Give & Rayse events held in Busan in 2024 and 2025 each attracted 20,000 participants, creating donations of more than 1 billion won for two consecutive years.
Starting with its first event in Seoul in 2017, this year's Give & Rayse, which marks the 13th edition, will take place in Busan centered on the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO) and the Gwangalli Beach area, the same as last year. Participants can choose between the 10km and 8km courses, and both courses start from the outdoor plaza of BEXCO, pass the Gwangandaegyo Bridge and continue to Gwangalli Beach.
All participants will receive commemorative items including a functional T-shirt, backpack, running belt and hairband from official partner Columbia, which will be pre-shipped along with the bib number.
The 1 billion won raised last year from Give & Rayse was used to support the installation of new child protection agencies and to fund scholarships for promising athletes. Since 2017, Give & Rayse has accumulated about 145,000 participants and recorded cumulative donations of about 7.6 billion won.
