The Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) said on the 23rd that it was selected for the first time as a recognized corporation at the "2025 rural ESG practice recognition awards," jointly hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Large and Small Company and Agricultural and Fishery Cooperation Foundation.
The ESG practice recognition program evaluates win-win cooperation activities between institutions and rural communities and recognizes corporations and institutions that achieve outstanding results. The Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) was recognized for efforts carried out for the sustainable development of rural communities by linking with the institution's core function of startups, including ▲ supporting market access for young farmers ▲ entrepreneurship education for teenagers in island, remote, and rural areas ▲ creating specialized gardens in rural areas ▲ startup counseling for laid-off mine workers and local residents.
