HD Hyundai's midstream shipbuilding holding company HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering said on the 20th that it recently signed construction contracts with a shipowner in Oceania for two crude oil carriers and two petrochemical product carriers (PC vessels). The total order value is 481.6 billion won, and the ships will be built at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and delivered by the first half of 2029.
Including this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has won a total of nine ships so far this year, worth $1.49 billion (about 2.2004 trillion won), achieving 6.4% of its annual order target of $23.31 billion (about 34.4218 trillion won).
By ship type, the company won orders for four liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, one liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)/ammonia carrier, two crude oil carriers, and two PC vessels.
