Allganize said on the 19th that, with the consortium led by Upstage passing the first round of evaluations for the "independent AI foundation model project," it plans to support the consortium's AI foundation model in expanding globally.
The Ministry of Science and ICT is pushing this project to develop an AI base model grounded in domestic corporations' independent technology and to build an AI ecosystem competitive in the global market. Three consortia, including Upstage, LG AI Research Institute, and SK Telecom, passed the first evaluation.
Allganize joined the Upstage consortium. The consortium is an industry-academia-research collaboration that includes corporations and institutions with strengths in research and development, talent training, and industry-specific applications, centered on AI model development capabilities.
By developing an AI foundation model called "Solar WBL," it aims to spread AI technology across industries such as finance, health care, manufacturing, law, public sector, and education, and to secure technological sovereignty.
Leveraging its specialized capabilities in agent retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology and large language model (LLM) fine-tuning, Allganize will handle country- and industry-specific optimization and global market expansion of the AI models developed by the consortium. Based on its experience supplying AI technologies tailored to each country's industry and regulatory environment, it plans to help ensure the models are used in the market.
Allganize has experience building AI solutions in finance and the public sector, which require high levels of security. In Korea, it supplies its all-in-one LLM solution "Alli" to institutions including Woori Investment & Securities, KB Securities, Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH), and KEPCO KDN Co. (KDN), as well as to Nomura Securities in Japan and the State Government of Oklahoma in the United States.
