-appointed as an outside director of Boston Dynamics
Hyundai Motor Group said on the 16th that it has appointed Milan Kovac (Milan Kovac), a world expert in AI·Robotics·Autonomous Driving, as an adviser to Hyundai Motor Group and plans to appoint him as an outside director of Boston Dynamics (Boston Dynamics).
Milan Kovac is a global technology leader who has worked for about 20 years in software, hardware and AI-based Robotics systems, growing engineering organizations that produce high performance while maintaining fast development cycles. Until recently he was responsible for several projects at Tesla, including 'Optimus' (Optimus), and is credited with leading the development of humanoid robots and camera-based vision-centered Autonomous Driving systems, having a significant impact across the related industries.
Hyundai Motor Group plans to use this hiring as an opportunity to accelerate Boston Dynamics' AI-based Robotics innovation and speed up medium- to long-term strategies and commercialization of its innovative robot lineup such as Spot·Stretch·Atlas. Milan Kovac will also provide AI and engineering strategy advice to Hyundai Motor Group and explore the applicability of advanced AI·Robotics technologies by leveraging the group's industrial base across various industry ecosystems such as manufacturing·logistics·services.
