Volvo Car Korea (CEO Lee Yun-mo) said on the 16th that it will operate experiential pop-up stores where customers can directly see the premium flagship models XC90 and S90 at six major shopping malls nationwide.
This pop-up store will run at six major shopping malls nationwide, starting at Shinsegae Department Store Gwangju (Jan. 3–11), followed by Yeouido IFC Mall, Starfield Hanam, and Shinsegae Department Store Busan Centum City, and was planned so that consumers with various lifestyles can naturally experience Volvo's flagship models in their daily lives.
On site, visitors can experience the brand's Swedish luxury sensibility up close through display of Volvo's top lineup, the flagship SUV XC90, and the premium sedan S90.
Various participatory events for pop-up store visitors are also prepared.
Visitors can register simple information and participate in a digital kiosk roulette program, and all roulette participants will receive a Pick by Volvo prize. Prizes will include a card pocket, parking plate, compact umbrella, Sunrogi keyring, car air freshener, business card wallet, and die-cast mini car. In addition, customers who leave their information at the pop-up store and then visit a Volvo showroom and complete a test drive will receive a separate department store gift certificate worth 10,000 won; this benefit is valid through March 29. In addition, from Jan. 10 to March 1, the '9090 showroom test drive' will be held at 19 representative Volvo showrooms nationwide. Each showroom will offer a New Year program themed on Swedish lifestyle to provide visitors with a unique brand experience.
During the event, showroom visitors will receive a bakery package that includes a Dalahorse initial keyring symbolizing the red horse and a fortune cookie to enjoy New Year fortunes. In addition, contract customers will be specially given a Volvo Boston bag or tote bag (choose one of two) and a car air freshener. Event schedules and program composition may vary by showroom, and detailed information can be confirmed by contacting each showroom.
Volvo Car Korea CEO Lee Yun-mo said he hopes that more customers will be able to directly experience Volvo's premium flagship models XC90 and S90 through these pop-up stores and nationwide showroom test-drive events, and that the company plans to continue expanding touchpoints with customers through various programs that allow people to experience the values and lifestyle the brand pursues.
