Peugeot is accepting advance orders for the French premium family SUV evolved into a completely new look in 10 years, the 'All New 5008 Smart Hybrid (ALL NEW 5008 SMART HYBRID, hereinafter All New 5008), starting on the 14th.
This All New 5008 is a completely redesigned third-generation model based on Stellantis' next-generation electrification platform 'STLA Medium,' offering a noticeably more spacious interior and flexible seat configuration and cargo space utilization compared with the previous generation, faithfully delivering the essential value of a family SUV. In addition, it balances efficiency and eco-friendliness by combining a refined style with Smart Hybrid technology.
The All New 5008 is the only 'real French SUV' in the domestic market whose planning, design and production were all carried out in France, serving as a model that will take responsibility for the mobility of the whole family while providing the driver with a satisfying driving experience as a unique 'French premium family SUV.'
It is sold in two trims, Allure and GT; the Allure trim is 48.90 million won, and the GT trim is a limited launch price for 300 units at 55.90 million won. Reflecting the reduced individual consumption tax, the Allure is available for 48.14 million won and the GT can be purchased for 54.999 million won.
Even during the advance order period, Peugeot unusually placed display cars at 13 Peugeot showrooms nationwide and at the Stellantis Brand House showroom so customers can see the actual car before the official launch. Also, as a delivery benefit after advance ordering the All New 5008, Peugeot provides official service center first-visit free inspection service (within 60 days from vehicle registration date) and a 30% discount on genuine accessories purchases (within one year from vehicle registration date), including a genuine travel suitcase worth about 1 million won jointly produced with French premium carrier brand Delsey, the 'Peugeot Voyage luggage (33-inch)'.
Stellantis Korea CEO Bang Sil said, "In Korea's family SUV market, which is both the most dynamic in growth and the most competitive, the All New 5008 will be an excellent alternative combining French sensibility and practicality," and added, "I hope more customers experience a new family SUV life broadened in taste through the All New 5008."
The All New 5008 is a model that synthesizes Peugeot's latest design language, clearly expressing the identity of the 'French premium family SUV' through bold proportions and refined details. The body, with a length of 4,810 mm, width of 1,875 mm, height of 1,705 mm and wheelbase of 2,900 mm, is 160 mm longer, 30 mm wider, 55 mm taller and has a 60 mm longer wheelbase compared with the previous model, securing a noticeably more spacious interior. Through this, it was completed as a French-style family SUV that combines a commanding design presence with high usability.
The exterior has undergone major changes based on Peugeot's new family look. A centrally placed floating-type emblem and a unified-tone gradient front grille create a luxurious yet futuristic atmosphere. Pixel LED matrix headlamps and the three-line light signature shaped like a lion's claw make Peugeot's distinctive iconic image even clearer while greatly improving nighttime visibility.
The interior provides various convenience features that consider the whole family as a family SUV and applies Peugeot's latest 'i-Cockpit' concept to strengthen driver-focused immersion. The first row offers an eco-friendly fabric material, German AGR (campaign for ergonomic chairs/Association for Health of the Spine) certified seats, and expanded storage space in the center console to provide a comfortable and practical driving environment. The GT trim completes a premium interior ambiance comparable to a luxury lounge with black Nappa leather seats, heating·ventilation·massage functions, and eight-color ambient lighting.
In particular, the All New 5008 features a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, expanded by 60 mm compared with the second generation, securing interior space comparable to large SUVs. The second row is configured as three independent seats supporting sliding and 40:20:40 folding, and family-centered functions that enhance comfort on long trips, such as seat heaters, indoor air quality monitoring, and side window sunshades, have been strengthened. The third row consists of two independent seats that can fold 50:50, allowing flexible adjustment of interior space as needed. In addition, the 'Easy Access' function secures a wide entry space with a simple lever operation, improving boarding and alighting convenience.
Trunk space is one of the All New 5008's core competitive advantages. With a 7-seat configuration, it offers a generous cargo capacity of 348 L and up to 2,232 L, giving it space competitiveness at the top level among imported SUVs in its class. In addition, including a full-flat loading structure that allows the seats to be folded completely, an electric tailgate and kick motion function, and under-3rd-row-seat storage space, it completes excellent space utilization covering daily use and leisure.
The All New 5008 Smart Hybrid operates about 50% of urban driving time in electric mode through a 48V smart hybrid system, achieving quietness and refined efficiency at the same time. The gasoline engine and electric motor produce 136 hp/23.5 kg·m and 15.6 kW/5.2 kg·m respectively, and a combined maximum of 145 hp provides agile and smooth driving performance optimized for everyday driving. The domestic certification combined fuel economy is 13.3 km/L (city 12.8 km/L, highway 14.0 km/L), and CO2 emissions are 122 g/km, earning domestic second-class low-emission vehicle certification, allowing benefits such as discounts at various public parking lots and congestion charge reductions.
It also comes standard with safety and driving assistance systems that support stable driving from daily commuting to long-distance travel. All models come standard with lane departure warning, forward collision alarm and active safety braking, and the GT trim adds adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot collision alarm, and front and side cameras, reducing driver burden and lowering the risk of accidents.
