Former NewJeans member Danielle issued an official statement on the 12th.
At 7 p.m. that day, Danielle went live on her personal social media to share an update and her thoughts with fans in Korea and abroad. This was the first time Danielle directly shared her position since being notified by ADOR that her exclusive contract was terminated.
On the broadcast, Danielle said, "I fought to the end to stay with the members," and "NewJeans is always in one corner of my heart. This is not the end but the beginning."
However, Danielle held back on speaking about the ongoing legal dispute. Danielle said, "A lot is being sorted out right now," and noted, "When the time comes, I will update you on the lawsuit and the parts you are curious about."
Earlier, Danielle had been in a dispute with ADOR over her exclusive contract. After losing a lawsuit seeking confirmation of the contract's validity, she expressed her intention to return to the agency, but ADOR notified Danielle last month that it was terminating the contract.
ADOR is currently suing Danielle, her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin for damages of about 40 billion won.
