S-Oil said on the 11th that Anwar Al-Hejazi, the chief executive officer (CEO), visited the Onsan plant located in the Onsan National Industrial Complex in Ulsan.
CEO Al-Hejazi said at S-Oil's safety and environment building, "Before carrying out any task, inspect again and again, even the smallest details, to ensure there are no blind spots in safety until you are fully confident it is safe."
Al-Hejazi then visited the Shaheen Project site. The Shaheen Project, the largest initiative since the company's founding, has surpassed 92% progress and is aiming for mechanical completion in June this year.
Al-Hejazi said, "The project is now nearing the final stage, and this is the toughest period and the last hurdle," adding, "Work closely together across the company and maintain focus until startup to complete it perfectly to the end, and make it a successful project that meets the expectations of the company as well as Korea and Saudi Arabia."
Earlier, in the 2026 New Year's address, CEO Al-Hejazi presented the following core tasks for 2026: ▲ mobilizing companywide capabilities and resources to safely complete and stably operate the Shaheen Project ▲ establishing a safety culture and management system ▲ strengthening fundamental competitiveness through solid operations ▲ innovating work through digital and AI transition.
