Hanjin posts 111.4 billion won operating profit, up 11.3%

Hanjin said in a filing on the 9th that last year's operating profit was tentatively tallied at 111.4 billion won, up 11.3% from a year earlier.

Revenue for the same period was tentatively tallied at 3.057 trillion won, up 1.4%.

Hanjin said it improved profitability across all business areas, including parcel delivery, logistics, and global, and that a base effect from last year's one-off expense related to ordinary wages also had an impact.

A Hanjin official said, "We delivered meaningful results despite last year's uncertain management environment," adding, "We will continue striving for sustainable growth this year."
