More than 130 executives from Hyundai Motor Group, including Chair Chung Eui-sun, will hold the annual Global Leaders Forum (GLF) in Las Vegas, where the world's largest consumer electronics and information technology (IT) trade show, CES 2026, is taking place.
According to industry sources on the 7th, Hyundai Motor Group will hold GLF, its annual event, at a hotel in Las Vegas for two days starting on the 7th local time. GLF is a closed-door annual event where key Hyundai Motor Group executives gather once a year to share future strategies and visions. This year, more than 130 participants will attend, including presidents of key Hyundai Motor Group affiliates, heads of overseas regions, and executive vice presidents.
Hyundai Motor Group has been holding GLF in Korea. However, this year, because major affiliates including Hyundai Motor, Hyundai Mobis, and HYUNDAI WIA are participating in CES, it is reportedly being held in Las Vegas. After Hyundai Motor Group held a CES 2026 media day on the 5th (local time) and unveiled to the public for the first time the next-generation model of "Atlas," a humanoid developed by its U.S. subsidiary Boston Dynamics, the decision to let group executives examine physical artificial intelligence (AI) on the CES floor is also cited as a reason GLF is being held in Las Vegas.
Earlier, on the 6th, the day before the official opening of CES 2026, Chair Chung visited booths for Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Doosan, and Qualcomm. At the Samsung Electronics exhibition space, Chung met Roh Tae-Moon, president of Samsung Electronics and head of the device experience division, and proposed collaboration on Samsung's robot vacuum cleaner. At the LG Electronics booth, he received a briefing on AI-based in-vehicle solutions. It was Chung's first visit to CES in two years since 2024.
