The Polestar 4, a performance sport-utility vehicle (SUV) coupe from Swedish electric-vehicle brand Polestar, ranked as the best-selling model among "premium electric vehicles priced at 60 million won or more," a core segment of Korea's imported-car market.
According to the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA) on Jan. 7, the Polestar 4 recorded total sales of 2,611 units from January to December last year, beating the Audi Q4 e-tron (2,475 units) and the BMW i5 (1,976 units).
A Polestar Korea official said, "Polestar 4 becoming the best-selling model in the premium imported EV market is thanks to consumers recognizing its outstanding product appeal and the premium values the brand pursues," adding, "This year as well, we will provide a differentiated customer experience and further solidify our leadership in the luxury EV market through the upcoming Polestar 3 and Polestar 5."
The Polestar 4 eliminates the rear window and, through a digital rearview mirror, secures a wider rear view than before. The second-row space is roomier and the sense of openness is expanded. On the Long Range single-motor model, it can drive up to 511 km on a single charge, and the dual-motor model delivers a maximum output of 544 horsepower.
