KG Mobility (hereafter KGM) officially launched its first new car of the new year. These are the The Original 'Musso' models that were first revealed to media representatives at the end of last year.
The reason they have to be called 'Musso' is that KGM applied a multi-lineup approach to this new vehicle. It configured markedly different trims according to usage.
KGM launched the authentic outdoor-style pickup truck 'Musso (MUSSO)' on the 5th and began accepting final contracts.
The renewed 'Musso' is the successor to the 'Musso Sport & Khan' presented under the slogan 'The Original,' and with multi-lineup options centered on key specifications such as front design, powertrain, deck, and suspension, it offers customers customized pickups they want. Following the electric pickup 'Musso EV,' KGM is rolling out the authentic pickup 'Musso' in succession, completing a pickup lineup that spans electrified models to gasoline and diesel, further strengthening its market competitiveness.
The 'Musso' completes a dynamic, authentic pickup image that charges confidently through various environments with a dynamic front design and a body structure designed for off-road driving. At the same time, it offers a wide range of choices by offering as an optional extra the grand and bold 'Grand Style' package that emphasizes an urban pickup sensibility. That package is available from the M7 trim.
The powertrain is composed of a 2.0 gasoline turbo engine and a 2.2 LET diesel engine so customers can choose according to driving conditions and intended use, and considering versatility for business and leisure, it operates two deck types, 'standard' and 'long,' enhancing practicality.
The standard deck's payload is up to 400 kg thanks to the application of a dynamic 5-link suspension, while the long deck can handle up to 700 kg with power leaf suspension and up to 500 kg with dynamic 5-link suspension.
The 'Musso' applies a variety of safety and convenience features favored by customers to provide broad driving convenience from daily driving to off-road environments.
In addition to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), it is equipped with top-tier safety systems such as intelligent adaptive cruise control (IACC) and intelligent speed warning to protect drivers and passengers safely.
It also delivers stable and reliable driving performance in rugged environments through off-road specialized features such as a 3D around view monitoring system, wireless software updates (OTA), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and other premium convenience features at the level of mid-to-large SUVs, as well as a four-wheel-drive (4WD) system, LD system, and clear sight ground view (CSV).
The 'Musso' secures reasonable price competitiveness while allowing broad selection of key specifications according to intended use.
Prices by trim are: 2.0 gasoline model M5 29,900,000 won, M7 35,900,000 won, M9 39,900,000 won; and 2.2 diesel model M5 31,700,000 won, M7 37,700,000 won, M9 41,700,000 won. (based on 2WD, standard deck application)
Meanwhile, KGM prepared various financial benefits and customer events to commemorate the launch of the 'Musso.'
The 'Musso' offers a smart installment plan (12–72 months) with down payments from 0 to 50% and interest rates of 0% (no interest) to 5.3%, and it established the 'Slim Pay Plan,' which guarantees a residual value of up to 64% over three years, allowing customers to experience pickup life from the mid-160,000 won per month range (based on five years). In addition, through a loyalty program it provides up to 200,000 won support depending on the number of vehicles purchased, and customers who buy a certified used car (within five years/100,000 km) and then repurchase a new car receive an additional 100,000 won benefit.
