As expected. A single model, the Grand Koleos, boosted Renault Korea's domestic performance last year.
Last year Renault Korea (CEO Nicolas Paris) recorded annual sales of 52,271 units domestically and 35,773 units for export, totaling 88,044 units. Among domestic volumes, the Grand Koleos sold more than 40,000 units. During the month of December alone, domestic 4,771 units and exports of 1,978 units produced total sales of 6,749 units.
Renault Korea's domestic performance last month was also driven by the mid-size SUV Grand Koleos, which sold 3,479 units. The Grand Koleos sold a total of 40,877 units during 2025, leading Renault Korea's annual domestic performance. In particular, the hybrid E-Tech model accounted for 35,352 units over the past year, representing 86.5%. The Grand Koleos hybrid E-Tech applies a series-parallel dual-motor drive system, offering a class-leading combined system output of 245 hp and excellent fuel efficiency of 15.7 km/L (combined official fuel economy for Techno trim).
The coupe-style SUV Arkana sold 775 units last month and 5,562 units for the year 2025. In particular, the Arkana 1.6 GTe, which offers a stylish SUV at the price of a compact midsize sedan, was chosen by consumers nearly 83% of the time with 4,613 units. The Arkana 1.6 GTe features a proven 1.6L gasoline engine paired with an X-Tronic continuously variable transmission, delivering an efficient official combined fuel economy of 13.6 km/L (17-inch tires) and a smooth driving feel.
The compact electric SUV Scenic E-Tech 100% electric (hereafter Scenic E-Tech) recorded sales of 517 units last month. Renault Korea is providing a temporary company subsidy so customers can purchase electric vehicles without concern even when government subsidies are depleted or not finalized at year-end and the start of the year. The Scenic E-Tech is produced in France and imported for sale in the domestic market, applying LG Energy Solution's 87 kWh high-performance NCM battery and achieving up to 460 km range under Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) certification standards.
Renault Korea's December export results included 370 units of the Grand Koleos (export name New Renault Koleos), 832 units of the Arkana, and 776 North American export units of Polestar's electric performance SUV Polestar 4. Last year Renault Korea's annual export results decreased year on year as Arkana's export volumes naturally declined after leading exports with more than 300,000 units sold overseas from 2020 through last year, while exports of new models such as the Grand Koleos and Polestar 4 are still in the early stages. Exports are expected to improve this year as overseas sales of the new export models expand.
