Stationery corporations Monami said on the 5th it is recruiting the ninth class of its brand supporters "Monami Pen Club."
Pen Club is a supporters program in which participants directly try out Monami new products and limited editions and produce promotional content.
Activities for the ninth Pen Club are divided into individual and team assignments. The individual assignment involves posting product reviews of new and key products on each participant's social media (SNS). The team assignment operates in a format where teams produce collaborative content, such as short-form videos, and announce results in May, when the activity ends.
Unlike the previous class, which had 153 participants, the newly revamped ninth class will select a small group of 15. Those selected will receive ▲ 40% off in-store purchases of the company's products ▲ free Monami Store Ink Lab experience (including one companion) ▲ free engraving service for premium pens ▲ a welcome gift, among other benefits. Based on the outcomes of the individual and team assignments, outstanding participants or teams will be selected and given prize money and more.
Anyone interested in Monami can participate. From today through the 25th, applicants can access the QR (quick response) code at the top of the recruitment poster and fill out an application; the recruitment runs for about three weeks. Those selected will take part in Pen Club activities for about four months, from Feb. 5 to May 28.
A Monami official said, "This Pen Club is characterized by having more touchpoints with consumers than any previous class," adding, "We expect the brand experience of Monami to spread through content that reflects participants' tastes and sensibilities during the ninth class."
