LOTTE Global Logistics' parcel delivery institutional sector, LOTTE Courier, said on the 2nd that it will begin seven-day-a-week deliveries starting on the 4th. However, eup, myeon, ri, and Jeju areas are excluded from the service.
LOTTE Courier said it decided to implement seven-day delivery to respond to steadily rising holiday volumes, meet demand from the e-commerce industry, and maximize customer satisfaction.
Accordingly, LOTTE Courier will use its own network to carry out pickup and delivery nationwide, centered on cities, not only on weekdays but also through weekends. Sundays and weekday holidays will newly be treated as pickup and delivery business days.
LOTTE Courier expects that seven-day delivery will allow it to meet the needs of not only small business owners and large shippers who need weekend shipments, but also consumers who want deliveries on holidays.
However, LOTTE Courier said that the day of the Seol and Chuseok holidays and the courier-free day will remain days off even after the start of seven-day delivery.
A LOTTE Courier official said, "To ensure the successful establishment of seven-day delivery going forward, we will actively accept feedback from agencies, couriers, and shippers to continuously improve the service, and we will enable customers to experience a changed daily life through a broader delivery offering."
