Global Sae-A is reviewing a range of growth strategies to boost corporate value, including selling the group's paper businesses such as TAILIM PACKAGING and Jeonju Paper.
According to the paper industry on the 30th, Global Sae-A is said to be reviewing the sale of its paper institutional sector subsidiaries, including TAILIM PACKAGING, Tailim Paper, and Jeonju Paper.
Global Sae-A is a corporations that grew from Sae-A Trading, the world's largest apparel original equipment manufacturing (OEM) company. Starting with Sea-STX Entech in 2018, it acquired TAILIM PACKAGING in 2020, Ssangyong E&C in 2022, and Jeonju Paper in 2023, expanding its business scope in succession. Backed by this external growth, Global Sae-A in 2023 was included for the first time since its founding among large corporate groups with an asset aggregates of 5 trillion won or more.
However, with major affiliates such as Sea-STX Entech and Ssangyong E&C posting weak results recently, the industry says the group has moved to sell the paper business institutional sector to boost corporate value and improve its financial structure.
A Global Sae-A official said, "We are reviewing various options to enhance the corporate value of the paper institutional sector, including TAILIM PACKAGING," and added, "Nothing has been decided yet regarding a sale."
