Jeong Gwang-cheon, president of the INNOBIZ Association (Korea Association of Small and Medium Business Technology Innovation), emphasized a new leap and strengthening global competitiveness in a New Year's address on the 30th.
Jeong said, "Last year, our INNOBIZ companies did not let the flames of technological innovation die out amid rapid change and served as a strong backbone of the South Korean economy." Jeong added, "Let's make 2026 a year of taking off by innovating with AI and soaring globally."
For 2026, Jeong set out key tasks, including: ▲ institutional improvements to remove uncertainty in using manufacturing site data ▲ building an R&D full-cycle support system for market-driven "profitable innovation" ▲ global expansion beyond simple exports by leveraging local networks.
Jeong also said, "Small and medium-sized enterprises are not defined by size but are the most important and valuable entities in our economy," emphasizing the value of INNOBIZ companies that lead manufacturing sites through technological innovation.
Jeong said, "Horses can go farther and more safely when they run together," adding, "The INNOBIZ Association will always be a reliable partner to member companies and walk together on the path of technological innovation."
