LG Electronics has even launched public advertisements to highlight the differentiated competitiveness of its automotive components business. It has begun showing promotional videos on famous billboards in New York, U.S., and London, U.K.
LG Electronics said on the 28th, "We will present campaign videos related to the automotive components business at major landmarks in the U.S. and U.K. and carry out activities to inform the public about the differentiated competitiveness of the automotive components business, the core pillar of our B2B business." It said it released the "LG on board" campaign videos aimed at raising public awareness of the automotive components business on large billboards in Times Square in New York, U.S., and Piccadilly Circus in London, U.K.
LG on board conveys both the meaning that "LG's automotive components technology has been installed in cars" and the meaning that "LG accompanies customers' driving experiences."
The campaign video intuitively shows how LG Electronics' various automotive solutions, such as in-vehicle infotainment and in-cabin sensing, change customers' in-car experiences.
When the driver yawns and looks tired, the camera detects it and changes the navigation to a route that stops by a cafe with the line, "You look like you need a break. There's a cafe nearby."
On the display that used to show the navigation, the home screen of the vehicle webOS content platform (ACP, Automotive Content Platform), where various content can be enjoyed, appears. The video then shows a natural transition to the living room TV, emphasizing that the diverse customer experiences of webOS, the proprietary smart TV platform that powers more than 260 million smart TVs worldwide, have expanded into the vehicle interior.
LG Electronics recently introduced new attempts to introduce key automotive solutions with easy and fun animations on the LinkedIn and YouTube channels of its Vehicle Solution (VS) business division, which is in charge of the automotive components business, and is continuing efforts to raise awareness of the automotive components business, which is still unfamiliar to the general public.
