The main indexes on the New York stock market began transaction flat on the 24th (local time) ahead of the Christmas holiday.
According to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on the 24th, as of 9:35 a.m. that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.04% from the previous transaction day to 48,461.69 in transaction.
The S&P 500 stood at 6,912.03 at the same time, up 0.03%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq was down 0.04% at 23,552.22.
Reuters analyzed that "the main indexes started transaction flat as they watched to see whether the seasonal rally could continue amid shortened transaction on Christmas Eve."
The New York market will close early at 1 p.m. local time (3 a.m. Korea time) that day. It will be closed on the 25th for the Christmas holiday.
