Precision nutrition AI corporations Newziamlab said on the 23rd that it signed a business agreement with the Korean Nutrition Society on AI precision nutrition research and technology development.
Through this agreement, Newziamlab and the Korean Nutrition Society will advance AI-based precision nutrition technology in line with the "Food-as-Medicine (preventing disease through food)" trend and jointly promote research, education, and policy linkages focused on extending the nation's healthy life expectancy.
The agreement began from the recognition that, although diet is a key determinant of an individual's health and disease risk, it is difficult to manage on an evidence basis in everyday life. Newziamlab has developed an AI precision nutrition engine that connects personal health data with food components and scientific evidence to provide personalized meal plans, grocery shopping, and implementation. The Korean Nutrition Society has led research and knowledge dissemination in the field of nutrition based on its academic authority and professional network.
Newziamlab and the Korean Nutrition Society plan to build an AI precision nutrition ecosystem and create a Food-as-Medicine standard model that can be applied in the global market beyond Korea. In particular, they will pursue broad cooperation, including discovering and carrying out joint research projects for precision nutrition clinical validation and improving public dietary habits, exchanges among experts in precision nutrition and diet therapy, organizing technical sessions at academic conferences and policy-linked presentations, and public outreach.
Chief Executive Kim Ji-young of Newziamlab said, "Through an AI-based precision nutrition engine, we will connect personal health data with everyday food choices and turn diet into an actionable solution that leads to disease prevention and extended healthy life expectancy," adding, "Based on this agreement, we will actively pursue collaboration with accredited institutions, researchers, and partners in the global market."
