Hyundai Motor Group will unveil a strategy to expand its artificial intelligence (AI) Robotics ecosystem at CES 2026, the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition. Centered on collaboration between humans and robots, it aims to pool the group's technologies and resources to accelerate the commercialization of AI Robotics. Boston Dynamics' next-generation electric Atlas Humanoid Robot will also be demonstrated in person for the first time.
On the 5th, Hyundai Motor Group said it will present its core AI Robotics strategy under the theme "Robotics, beyond the lab and into life (Partnering Human Progress: AI)" at CES 2026 Media Day, to be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on Jan. 5 (local time).
At Media Day, it will unveil: ▲ demonstrations of cutting-edge AI Robotics technologies ▲ plans to build human-robot collaboration ▲ an AI Robotics ecosystem created by concentrating the group's capabilities ▲ a strategy to expand business through utilization and validation in manufacturing environments. In particular, it will showcase the next-generation electric Atlas on site as a key example of its AI Robotics strategy.
Hyundai Motor Group will also release a strategy to validate robots using its Software Defined Factory (SDF) and, based on that, expand the AI Robotics ecosystem. SDF is an advanced smart factory operated by data and software, maximizing flexibility and agility across the entire manufacturing process and leading future manufacturing innovation.
A Hyundai Motor Group official said, "Based on a data-driven production system that prioritizes reliability, we plan to integrally manage the entire value chain—including AI Robotics, parts, logistics, and software—to establish ourselves as a comprehensive solutions provider covering everything from robot development to training and operations."
Hyundai Motor Group's AI Robotics strategy announcement will be streamed live on the group's global YouTube channel at 6 a.m. on Jan. 6 (Korea time).
