Maserati's super sports car MC Pura (PURA) has spread the wings of "purity."
The meaning of "purity" implies following the typical grammar of a sports car, and it also refers to the powertrain engineering technology that aims for complete combustion.
The Italian luxury car brand Maserati (Maserati) on the 17th at the Yongsan showroom in Seoul unveiled the super sports car "MCPURA" for the first time in Korea. MCPURA is a car developed with a focus on the brand's roots and the essence of a sports car under the philosophy of "purity." "Pura" in Italian means "purity."
MCPURA is a luxury sports car that succeeds the "MC20," which ushered in a new era for the Maserati brand.
It focused on 111 years of Italian luxury heritage and racing DNA essence, and consists of the coupe version MCPURA and the convertible version "MCPURA Cielo."
MCPURA is equipped with Maserati's 100% independently developed 3.0L V6 Nettuno engine. The core of the engine is an innovative pre-chamber combustion system, equipped with twin spark plugs. This technology is derived from Formula 1 and Maserati holds the patent, applying it to road car engines as well.
Maximum output reaches 630 horsepower (CV), and maximum torque reaches 730 Nm (@3,000 rpm). The top speed is 320 km/h, and the time to reach 100 km/h from a standstill (zero-to-60) is only 2.9 seconds. In addition, it applied an innovative carbon fiber monocoque chassis developed with Italian race car maker Dallara, realizing lightweight agility, stability and sharp handling.
Maserati's new super sports car MCPURA emphasizes aerodynamic design emerging from its low body by applying a glossy black finish to the newly designed bumper, lower section and side skirts. It is also equipped with a rear bumper designed in a new style. In addition, it features butterfly doors, which provide an overwhelming presence and enhance aesthetic value beyond a practical function that helps occupants get in and out.
The convertible MCPURA Cielo features an innovative retractable glass roof. The glass roof, uniquely equipped with PDLC technology in its class, switches from transparent to opaque with the press of a single button on the central screen. MCPURA Cielo boasts best-in-class levels in heat-blocking performance, opening speed (12 seconds) and cutting-edge technology.
The interior space has been completely refined to offer a modern and luxurious mood. Not only the seats but also parts of the door panels, dashboard and steering wheel are finished in Alcantara (Alcantara), perfectly meeting aesthetic and functional elements. It also applies for the first time a newly designed steering wheel inspired by GT2 racing to maximize driving immersion.
The MCPURA and MCPURA Cielo, revealed for the first time domestically, are operated worldwide in the same build-to-order method and are produced in order of contracts at the Viale Ciro Menotti factory in Modena, Italy, which is 100% located in Italy. Pre-orders and orders are available through Maserati authorized showrooms nationwide, and the domestic selling price starts from 338.8 million won for the MCPURA and 377 million won for the MCPURA Cielo, including a five-year free warranty period and a three-year maintenance period.
