CERAGEM Co. said on the 16th that it has sponsored healthcare home appliances worth 5 billion won from 2022 through this year for low-income and severely ill households featured on the KBS program "Companion."
CERAGEM Co. signed a sponsorship agreement with ChildFund Korea in 2006. Since then, it has donated 36 million won every year, working to improve children's self-reliance and to enhance education and housing environments. Since 2023, it has provided monthly regular support by donating a portion of the revenue generated at its experience stores such as Well Cafe and lounges.
It is also carrying out social contribution activities. CERAGEM Co. has continued the "Sharing Kimchi of Love" event with Cheonan since 2011 to support vulnerable groups through the winter, and this year also delivered sponsorship funds.
Overseas, it is promoting activities to improve education environments. CERAGEM Co. has newly built and supported a total of 17 schools through the China "Hope Primary School Project" since 2006. On Oct., it donated smart education equipment, books, and office furniture to an elementary school in Hubei Province.
In India, it has operated the "Dream School Project" since 2016. It is building educational infrastructure and running scholarship programs for children in impoverished areas. On Feb., it completed the 13th Dream School in Uttarakhand and provided IT equipment.
A CERAGEM Co. official said, "CERAGEM is expanding its social contribution activities on a global scale, supporting not only daily health care for vulnerable groups in Korea but also improving education environments for children overseas," adding, "We will continue responsible activities that contribute to improving health and quality of life across society, beyond products."
