It later became known that SK hynix secured an additional 500 billion won through the Korea Development Bank's low-interest loan program.
According to the business community on the 15th, the Korea Development Bank approved a support plan under the special program to support semiconductor facility investment that SK hynix applied for in the first half of this year in the amount of 500 billion won.
The special program to support semiconductor facility investment is a low-interest loan product created in the amount of 17 trillion won to foster the semiconductor ecosystem. The amount additionally approved for SK hynix is 500 billion won, of which 200 billion won has already been executed. The remaining 300 billion won will be executed in line with investment and use plans.
SK hynix has already received 500 billion won through the special program to support semiconductor facility investment. With this additional funding, the company has secured a total of 1 trillion won from the Korea Development Bank. SK hynix appears to have done this to carry out facility investments, including the Yongin semiconductor cluster.
SK hynix plans to sequentially operate four fabs at the Yongin semiconductor cluster. The expense alone is said to reach 600 trillion won.
