Audi and Disney are collaborating to provide a new entertainment experience inside vehicles. Audi occupants can use streaming technology to enjoy a variety of Disney Plus content directly in the car.
Audi is integrating the Disney Plus app into its model lineup to further expand the vehicle's in-car digital entertainment services.
Users can install the Disney Plus app from the Audi application store and log in with their existing account, and can watch a variety of movies and series in the vehicle, including Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel and Disney classic animation.
Content can be safely viewed on the central MMI display when the vehicle is stationary, and on the optional passenger display while driving.
Audi's infotainment system is Audi's core digital platform that offers the AI-based Audi assistant and allows downloading apps such as YouTube, Spotify and Naver Map. Adding Disney Plus to this platform, which provides rich functions in the vehicle without smartphone connectivity, further strengthens Audi's digital entertainment portfolio.
The Disney Plus app will launch simultaneously in 43 countries worldwide, including major European countries, parts of Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the United States, and will be available for download from the application stores of new Audi models such as the Audi A5, Audi Q5, Audi A6, Audi A6 e-tron and Audi Q6 e-tron.
The Audi application store, jointly developed with Volkswagen Group software company CARIAD, is integrated directly into the MMI without the need to connect a smartphone, and can be used with only a MyAudi account and data consolidation.
