Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP) said on the 11th it successfully wrapped up a technical exchange schedule that began on the 1st for a delegation from EDU II (Elektrarna Dukovany II), the nuclear power plant ordering authority.
The EDU II delegation visited the headquarters of KEPCO Engineering & Construction Company (KEPCO E&C), which is responsible for designing the new nuclear power plant, on the 1st and 2nd to hold in-depth discussions on overall nuclear plant design and directly review project-related design deliverables. The two sides reviewed key technical specifications, consulted on future design directions, and further strengthened the practical foundation for project execution.
From the 3rd to the 11th, they took part in a business familiarization specialized training course held at KHNP's Radiation Health Institute. The training was prepared to deepen understanding of the overall design, procurement, and supply of the APR1000 nuclear plant to be supplied to the Czech Republic. Experts from KHNP and partner companies served as instructors and systematically delivered practice-centered knowledge on nuclear plant design procedures, key technical specifications, procurement procedures, and the quality assurance system.
A KHNP official said, "This visit by the Czech ordering authority's delegation was a meaningful time to further cement mutual trust and expand technical cooperation," adding, "We will continue to do our best to provide the necessary technical exchanges and support so the project schedule can proceed without delay."
