Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) said on Dec. 11 that it received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award for the "2025 Community Contribution Recognition Program" at the 3rd Sejong City Day of Social Contribution ceremony held in Sejong.
The community contribution recognition program is a system in which the government officially recognizes institutions that carried out social contribution activities in cooperation with local nonprofits. The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare comprehensively evaluate factors such as structure, continuity, and contribution to the local community, and assign grades.
Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) has been participating in the evaluation to systematically assess its activities to reinvigorate the local economy and realize shared growth values, as well as its ESG management level, and in 2020 it received a Minister of Health and Welfare commendation and the highest grade. This year, it received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award and the highest grade for the second time.
Yu Jong-pil, head of Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), said, "This award is the result of recognition for KISED's contribution activities, which have steadily worked to grow together with the local community," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities as a public institution and further strengthen our activities for shared growth and contribution with the region."
