The DX Korea 2026 organizing committee and the Defense Industry Mutual Aid Association said on the 10th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to expand the overseas market entry of Korea's defense industry and strengthen its global competitiveness.
DX Korea 2026, to be held in September next year, is Asia's leading ground and multi-domain defense industry exhibition, with more than 700 global defense corporations and 50 countries participating. The Ministry of National Defense sponsors the event, which is regarded as a venue for Korea's defense exports.
Through the agreement, the organizing committee and the Defense Industry Mutual Aid Association agreed to combine infrastructure, networks, and expertise. The two institutions will run guarantee, mutual aid, and export support programs for defense corporations, and will pursue holding seminars during DX Korea and providing export risk management consulting to participating corporations.
Under the agreement, the Defense Industry Mutual Aid Association's guarantee and mutual aid system will be integrated with DX Korea's global business matching system. The organizing committee said this will lay the groundwork for participating corporations to generate exports.
Kwon Pyeong-o, chair of the DX Korea organizing committee, said, "This agreement will provide practical help for domestic corporations to move into global markets," adding, "We will build DX Korea 2026 into the best global defense platform jointly created by corporations and the government and military."
An official at the Defense Industry Mutual Aid Association said, "Cooperation with DX KOREA will be an important turning point for domestic defense corporations to carry out overseas projects stably."
