Asiana Airlines said on the 9th that its affiliated Star Alliance was selected as the "world's leading airline alliance" for the sixth straight year at the "2025 World Travel Awards."
Marking its 32nd year, the World Travel Awards is a prestigious awards ceremony spanning the global travel, tourism, hotel, and airline industries, and winners in each category are selected based on a combined vote of travel industry professionals worldwide and general consumers (travelers).
Asiana Airlines said the award recognized its continued efforts across the entire customer journey, from the booking stage to the airport, transfers, mileage, and membership.
Star Alliance member airlines include Asiana Airlines, Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, Air India, Air New Zealand, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Avianca, Brussels Airlines, Copa Airlines, Croatia Airlines, EgyptAir, Ethiopian Airlines, EVA Air, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Shenzhen Airlines, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, Swissair, TAP Air Portugal, Turkish Airlines, Thai Airways, and United Airlines.

Founded in 1997, Star Alliance operates more than 18,000 flights daily to 1,150 airports in 190 countries and, in addition to its full members, provides connections through Connecting Partner Juneyao Air.

Meanwhile, Star Alliance member airlines also won in four categories this year, including "World's Best Airline for Asia Routes" and "World's Best Airline for Europe Routes."
