Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) said on Dec. 9 that it will hold the "2025 Global K-startup Day" for startups interested in entering global markets at the Eliena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The event is organized in connection with the international startup festival "COMEUP 2025" week to share country-specific market entry strategies and support participants in building networks. About 130 people, including startups, venture capital (VC) and officials from partner organizations, will attend.
The main program consists of: ▲ guidance on the K-startup Center (KSC) support program ▲ a seminar on global expansion strategies with overseas VCs ▲ sharing of outstanding KSC outcomes △ one-on-one consultations and networking with local experts.
KOSME said local KSC staff working at six overseas bases in five countries around the world — the United States, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and France — will take part in person to introduce support offerings by base. It will also release success stories of startups that used KSC to sign contracts, attract large-scale investment and secure local partners to achieve results in global markets.
In the afternoon, a separate session led by the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) will also be held to present outstanding achievements in overseas expansion by local accelerators and startups.
Park Jang-hyeok, KOSME's executive director for global growth, said, "We will continue to strengthen support for innovative fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) and deep tech and lay a strong foundation for domestic startups to grow into global unicorns."
