Hey Dealer designed a future snow country. In collaboration with Grand Hyatt Seoul, it opened the 'Hey Future (HEY FUTURE)' ice rink, which exudes a futuristic sensibility.
Hey Dealer, together with Grand Hyatt Seoul, has reborn the hotel ice rink, long loved as a winter landmark, as the innovative 'Hey Future (HEY FUTURE)' ice rink.
This collaboration started with the idea, "let's realize the similarity between winter skating and driving as a futuristic space." Constantly falling snow and light, and dynamically moving media art combine to provide an immersive experience that makes it feel as if winter is continuously in motion.
The main space, the outdoor ice rink, is surrounded by white puffer fences, giving a fantastic white futuristic mood. Outside the rink, miniature car exhibits symbolizing the meeting of Hey Dealer's future and Grand Hyatt Seoul's winter are installed, adding a romantic atmosphere.
Throughout the ice rink, spaces have been set up where visitors can feel the romance of winter and the sensibility of technology. At the entrance to the ice rink, a cube expressing continuously falling snow is on display, and in front of the cube a responsive LED snow path is installed that leaves footprints each time it is stepped on.
Also, the gazebo located at one corner of the ice rink has been transformed into a unique activity zone. A sky with falling snow is projected on the ceiling, and drawings that customers draw themselves are transmitted onto the sky. These drawings are simultaneously sent to a transparent OLED screen installed at the hotel lobby entrance, giving visitors another pleasure.
The 'Hey Future' ice rink will operate from Dec. 5 to March 2, 2026.
