SK intellix's wellness Robotics brand "NAMUHX" said on the 8th that it successfully held the "1st NAMUHX Hackathon," organized to explore AI-based wellness businesses.
A hackathon is a portmanteau of "hacking" and "marathon," a development event that quickly turns innovative ideas into prototypes. Choi Seong-hwan, head of business at SK Networks and executive advisor (EA) to NAMUHX, and SK intellix executives attended.
Held on the theme of "AI-based hyper-personalized wellness service ideas," the competition, which began accepting applications on Sept., drew graduate and undergraduate students, startup workers, and freelance founders interested in wellness, AI, and Robotics, who proposed various AI-based solutions and data security measures.
At the finals held on the 5th at Walkerhill Hotel Arcadia in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, 20 teams that passed the preliminaries competed fiercely. Participants directly experienced the innovative technologies of the NAMUHX wellness robot and the real service environment, showcasing a variety of ideas and feasible solutions.
At the awards ceremony, "Ieum" won the grand prize for proposing a "hyper-personalized wellness care" service for the emotions, health, and safety of seniors and people with chronic diseases, "NAMUHX Together" won the top excellence award, and "NAMUH" and "Rootive" each received excellence awards.
An SK intellix official said, "This competition once again confirmed the diverse expansion potential of the innovative technologies and services of the NAMUHX wellness robot," and added, "We will further accelerate technological innovation by developing the creative ideas presented by the participants."
